Below are the features of each type of session.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Batting</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>The course focuses on developing the fundamentals of batting technique and skills. The course emphasizes the basic principles of batting including watching the ball, being balanced and keeping the head still, judging the length and selecting the shot to play. The basic techniques including taking guard, the stance, the grip, trigger movements, and bat lift are honed in the batting sessions.· The course teaches the complete repertoire of batting shots; front foot and back foot, defensive and offensive, a straight bat and cross bat. Drives, glances, forward and backward defensive, cuts, hook and pull and the sweep shots are all practiced repeatedly in the course. Advanced techniques are used for fault identification and correction. This leads to greater consistency in batting. Batting in nets as pairs, chasing targets Specialist pace bowling sessions including learning to play the bouncer Specialist spin bowling sessions including learning to play the different types of deliveries such as leg break, googly, flipper, off break, doosra etc. Playing in the nets and simulating rotating the strike by taking singles Playing in the nets and simulating an all-out attack by going for boundaries Mental preparation for batting, including visualization and goal setting.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Fielding</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>The course features many innovative fielding drills and programs guaranteed to improve fielding skills while retaining the fun and competitive element. The drills focus on the following areas:</p><p>The drills teach the basics of attacking and defensive ground fielding and teach the trigger movements and stance required at each position on the field. The course also covers the sliding skills that are so vital to the modern game. Practicing Catching includes practicing the different types of catches such as high catches and slip catches. The course teaches the skills required for high catches including backpedaling, speed across the ground, soft hands, cup position and rolling with the ball. Slip and close catching practice involve how and where to stand, cupping the ball, dive and roll, etc. The throwing drills cover many scenarios including long throw-in from the deep, relay throws, bounce throws etc. From within the ring, throwing drills cover shying at the stumps, pick-up and throw to the keeper, under arm throws and throwing on the turn. With the modern game, the emphasis is on Run out Drills which focus on direct hits, throwing to the keeper or bowler on the move and one bounce shy at the stumps on either side. The course works on the mental aspects of fielding under pressure and anticipation.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Fast Bowling</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>Detailed work on the technique of bowling action including run-up, jump, delivery and follow through. The practice drills focus on rhythm and accuracy as well as online and length. Repeatable delivery of Yorkers, good length, bouncers, short of a length etc. Understanding Front on, Side on and Mixed actions, which one to adopt and why. The course involves learning the repetitive bowling of different types of deliveries – outswinger, inswinger, reverse swing, off cutter, leg cutter, seam bowling, bouncers, slower balls etc. Advanced techniques are used for fault identification and correction. This leads to greater consistency in bowling. The course includes sessions on spotting batsman’s weaknesses and habits and making adjustments to exploit the opportunities. Mental and physical attributes of a fast bowler are worked on including stamina, physical strength- stomach, shoulders and chest, aggression, patience, and determination.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Spin Bowling</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>Detailed work on the technique of bowling action including run-up, pivot, delivery and follow through. The practice drills focus on flight, loop, revolutions on the ball, drift, exact place to land the ball etc. Understanding high arm versus round-arm action, which one to adopt and why. Advanced techniques are used for fault identification and correction. This leads to greater consistency in bowling. Learning to bowl the different types of deliveries – off break, leg break, google, doosra, flipper, etc as appropriate for the type of spinner. The course includes sessions on spotting batsman’s weaknesses and habits and making adjustments to exploit the opportunities. The mental side of spin bowling is also explained in this course with emphasis on accuracy, willingness to practice, confidence and perseverance.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Rules &amp; Regulations</strong></h3><p><br></p><ol><li>Players should be in their Sports Attire &amp; Shoes.</li><li>Players should bring their personal Kit and drinking water.</li><li>Players should report 15 minutes the commencement of the camp</li></ol><p><br></p>
